What is the working principle of fiberglass spiral chute

Basic structure of fiberglass spiral chute:

The main component of the fiberglass spiral chute equipment is made of spiral blades made of fiberglass and connected with bolts. Apply wear-resistant lining on the inner surface of the spiral groove, usually polyurethane wear-resistant adhesive or epoxy resin mixed with artificial steel sand. There are ore separators and receiving slots in the upper part of the spiral chute, and product interceptors and pressing slots in the lower part. The entire equipment is vertically erected with steel frames. According to different processing requirements, the screw unit can be made into different layers, including single head, double head, three head, and four head structures. The working characteristic of a spiral chute is to intercept the fine, medium, and tailings at the end of the chute, without adding flushing water during the sorting process.

Working principle of fiberglass spiral chute:

The fiberglass spiral chute is a centrifugal flow film that generates a dynamic sense of slurry on the inclined surface of the spiral based on the differences in specific gravity, particle size, and shape between useful minerals and gangue minerals. In the comprehensive force field of gravity and centrifugal force, it utilizes the gravity, hydrodynamic pressure, and friction force of different particles to achieve the separation of useful minerals and gangue. The water movement in the spiral groove not only undergoes downward spiral motion, but also undergoes lateral cyclic flow. The upper water flow velocity is fast, generating a large inertial centrifugal force that is thrown towards the outer edge of the groove. The lower layer of water adjacent to the bottom of the groove has a slow rotation speed and low centrifugal force. Under the action of gravity, it flows from the outer edge to the inner edge, generating a secondary reflux. The heavy ore particles in the slurry settle quickly and gradually move towards the inner edge along the converging spiral, before being produced in the form of concentrate. Light minerals settle slowly and are located on the surface of the ore flow, with a fast flow rate and high centrifugal force. Under the action of lateral circulation, they gradually move towards the outer edge along the expanding spiral line, and then produce in the form of tailings.

Installation Procedure for Fiberglass Spiral Chutes

1. The connecting bolt holes on the spiral plate are generally pre drilled by the manufacturer. If the manufacturing factory does not process, it is necessary to drill holes according to the same template to ensure good interchangeability.

2. Use bolts to connect five turns of spiral plates into a set of spiral grooves, place them horizontally, and ensure a smooth transition on the inner surface of the adjacent two flange connections. When connecting, special attention should be paid to ensuring that the surface of the lower plate is not lower than the corresponding surface of the lower plate. Along the radial direction. The groove width direction should be aligned from the outer edge, and it is not allowed to lower the outer edge inward. The purpose of this installation is to prevent the occurrence of mineral flow splashing. When there are gaps at the connection, it is necessary to use putty to smooth it out.

3. Rotate the four head (or two or three head) spiral grooves of the already connected five pieces in a group together and distribute them into the required shape.

4. Install four (three) columns onto four (or three, two) spiral grooves in sequence, fix the spiral grooves with bolts, and then install a cross (tripod) so that the screws at each end are evenly distributed along the surrounding area. Finally, screw all the bolts in place. After installation, the spiral plates should maintain their natural shape and there should be no visible deformation.

5. Install the feeding tank and product cutting tank at the head and tail ends of the spiral groove respectively, ensuring that the connection is tight and not leaking. If there are gaps, they need to be sealed tightly with paint to ensure that the groove surface is smooth and excessive.

6. The ore feeder and product gathering hopper are not connected to the slot bracket and can be freely placed on the bracket. During installation, attention should be paid to placing them in the correct position according to the diagram. Each row of pipes of the distributor should be aligned with the corresponding feeding tank.

7. The foundation of the spiral chute generally does not need to be fixed, but when placed on four (three) flat foundations at the same level, after installation, it is necessary to check whether the vertical axis of the spiral chute is vertical. Shims can be added below the column to adjust the verticality. The spiral chute should be equipped with an operating platform at an appropriate height, and the spiral chute pillar should be properly connected to the platform.

8. Firstly, check the quality of the fiberglass spiral plate (especially the quality of the working surface), and assemble it only when the size and shape meet the requirements.
